Safe Play & Player Protection
Gambling should always be entertainment — never a way to solve financial problems or manage stress. pkr60 is committed to promoting safe, informed and responsible gaming for every Pakistani player.
If gambling is causing you harm, seek help immediately. Contact your operator's support team or a recognised responsible gambling organisation.
pkr60 is an informational gaming platform, not a gambling operator. But that does not diminish our responsibility to promote safe play. The Pakistani online gaming audience is passionate — from live cricket betting during a high-stakes PSL T20 final in Lahore to weekend football markets followed by fans in Karachi and Islamabad. That passion is a beautiful thing. It becomes a problem only when it stops being entertainment and starts resembling compulsion.
This page exists for every player — whether you're new to online gaming or a seasoned bettor who simply wants a clear-eyed reminder of the guardrails available. Responsible gambling is not about telling you not to play. It is about making sure that when you do play, you are in control: of your budget, your time and your mindset.
Every operator we cover on pkr60 is assessed, in part, on the quality of its responsible gambling tools. Deposit limits, loss limits, session time reminders, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are not optional extras — they are baseline requirements in our evaluation framework. We encourage every user to explore and activate these tools before placing their first bet.
Online gambling is subject to legal restrictions in Pakistan under the Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977 and related regulations. pkr60 does not represent that gambling is lawful for Pakistani users and does not claim authorisation from the Government of Pakistan, PTA, State Bank of Pakistan or any provincial authority. Users bear sole responsibility for understanding the laws of their own jurisdiction.
Online gaming is strictly for adults. No exceptions.
The pkr60 platform and all gaming-related content it covers is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 or older. In some operator or license jurisdictions, the minimum age may be higher — always verify the age requirement with the specific operator before registering.
Age restrictions exist for critical reasons. Gambling carries inherent financial risk, and younger individuals are significantly more vulnerable to developing gambling-related problems. The developing brain is more susceptible to addictive behaviours, and the financial literacy required to manage gambling risk responsibly is typically not yet formed.
If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has accessed gambling content or a gambling platform, act immediately: contact the operator's support team, activate parental control software on the device, and request account closure if your child has registered an account with any gambling site.
Six tools that every licensed operator should offer — and every player should use
Set a maximum deposit amount per day, week or month. Once the limit is reached, the operator's system prevents any additional deposits for that period. This is the single most effective mechanical control available to prevent overspending. If an operator allows you to increase your limit instantly, that is a red flag — increases should take effect only after a cooling-off period (typically 24–72 hours or longer).
A loss limit caps the total amount you can lose within a set timeframe — daily, weekly or monthly. Once reached, your account is prevented from accepting further wagers for that period. This is particularly important for cricket betting during high-frequency PSL matches where multiple markets are open simultaneously and the temptation to recover losses quickly is strong.
Set a maximum session duration. When the time limit is reached, the platform sends a notification or automatically logs you out. Time flies during live in-play betting — a session reminder breaks the flow and gives you a moment to consciously decide whether to continue or stop. Use it. Even a short pause resets your decision-making clarity.
A cooling-off period temporarily restricts your account for a defined period — from 24 hours to several weeks — during which you cannot place bets or access your account for gambling. Unlike self-exclusion, cooling-off periods are shorter and designed for players who want a brief, enforced break without committing to a longer exclusion. The key: the restriction must be immediate and not bypassable.
Self-exclusion is a formal commitment to stop gambling for a defined period — typically a minimum of 6 months, with options for 1, 3 or 5 years, or permanent exclusion. During this time, the operator is obligated to close your account, return any remaining balance and refuse any attempt to re-register. Self-exclusion is the right choice if gambling feels out of control. There is no shame in using it — it is a sign of strength and self-awareness.
Reality check notifications appear at regular intervals (e.g., every 30 or 60 minutes) showing you a summary of your session: time elapsed, bets placed, net win or loss. This is a mandatory feature on many licensed platforms. It disrupts the trance-like state that extended gambling sessions can induce and helps you make conscious, informed decisions about whether to continue.
A responsible gambling budget works exactly like a budget for any other leisure activity
Example: Monthly entertainment budget — PKR 3,000
Week 2 — Budget used: PKR 2,100 (70% — approaching limit)
Week 3 — Budget exhausted: PKR 3,000+ (STOP — budget fully consumed)
Whether you're betting on a Pakistan vs India ICC match from Rawalpindi or spinning slots in Faisalabad, these ten habits form the foundation of responsible play.
Decide on a specific PKR amount you are comfortable losing as entertainment spend — before you open any gambling app or platform.
Go into your operator account settings immediately after registration and set deposit and loss limits that match your budget. Do this before placing a single bet.
Set a session time reminder to alert you every 30–60 minutes. Use each alert as a deliberate decision point — not an automatic "continue" click.
A losing session is part of gambling. Increasing your bet size or depositing more to "win it back" is the most common trigger for financial harm. Accept the loss and stop.
When you are up, withdraw a portion of your winnings. Leaving all profits in your account creates a false sense of "house money" that leads to riskier bets.
Avoid gambling when tired, drunk, emotionally distressed or under financial pressure. Your decision-making is impaired in these states, and impaired decisions lead to bigger losses.
A night at the cinema in Karachi costs PKR 800–1,200. Budget your gambling the same way — as paid-for entertainment with a fixed cost, not an investment with an expected return.
If gambling is your only leisure activity, that is a warning sign. Maintain other hobbies, social activities and interests alongside any gambling.
If you are hiding your gambling from family or friends in Lahore or Multan, or if it is causing tension at home, acknowledge it. Secrecy and shame escalate problem gambling.
If you ever feel that gambling is no longer fun, no longer controlled or is affecting your life negatively — self-exclude immediately. It is a protective tool, not a sign of failure.
Problem gambling rarely announces itself dramatically. It builds gradually. Being able to recognise the warning signs early — in yourself or someone you know — is the most important protective tool available.
If you answer "yes" to two or more of these questions, consider seeking support.
Have you ever gambled more than you intended to in a single session?
Have you ever felt the urge to bet more money after losing to recover your losses?
Has gambling ever caused problems in your relationships, work or finances?
Have you borrowed money or sold something to pay for gambling?
Have you tried to cut back on gambling but found it difficult or impossible?
Do you feel anxious, irritable or empty when you are not gambling?
Have you hidden your gambling activities from people close to you?
A powerful, underused tool that every player should know how to access
Self-exclusion is one of the most effective responsible gambling interventions available. When you self-exclude from a gambling operator, you formally request that the operator close your account, prevent you from opening a new account, return any funds held and add you to their exclusion list. A properly implemented self-exclusion is binding — the operator is obligated to refuse your access for the duration you selected.
Self-exclusion periods typically start at six months and extend to one year, three years, five years or permanently. Most operators allow you to extend a self-exclusion before it expires but must apply a waiting period before shortening or lifting it — this is a critical protection against impulsive reversals.
How to self-exclude from a licensed operator is typically straightforward: navigate to Account Settings > Responsible Gambling > Self-Exclusion. Some operators require a support conversation to confirm the request. If an operator makes self-exclusion difficult or hard to find, that is a significant concern we note in our coverage on pkr60.
Log into your operator account and navigate to the Responsible Gambling or Account Settings section.
Locate the Self-Exclusion option. If you cannot find it, contact the operator's live support team directly and request it.
Select your desired exclusion period — choose at least 6 months. Longer periods provide stronger protection.
Confirm the exclusion. You should receive email confirmation. Request withdrawal of any remaining balance.
Consider repeating this process for every gambling operator account you hold and delete gambling apps from your devices.
